1 2文がほぼ同じ意味になるようにかっこ内に適当な語を入れましょう。
1.As I am busy now, I can't write to you.

2 かっこ内の語を適当な形にしましょう。2語になる場合もあります。

3 次のかっこ内に適当な語を入れましょう。
① もし万一雨が降れば、私は家にいるつもりです。

【復習問題①解答】

ポイント：①時制を一つ古くする。②否定は肯定に。肯定は否定に。事実は現在→仮定法過去／事実は過去→仮定法過去完了
2 1.were (was) 2.were 3.had done
ポイント：仮定法は、事実が①現在②過去③未来 のいずれかを判断。
3 1.should 2.go 3.should, work 4.be（meeting と put off は受動関係）
ポイント：仮定法未来は If節 に should,were to ／仮定法現在に使われる動詞は「主張」「要求」「提案」
4 1. If there were no water, nothing could live.
2. If Mr. Baker should come late, give him this message. (would 余分)
帰結節が命令文なので、助動詞 would が不要です。
3. If I had finished my work yesterday, I would not be busy now.
If 節は過去→仮定法過去完了／帰結節は現在→仮定法過去。時制を変えましょう。
4. If the sun were to go out, all living things would die.
