受動態は中学の英語文法でも学習しました。"be動詞＋過去分詞"で、「～される」というのはご存知だと思います。高校英文法の受動態も中学の英文法が基本となっています。句動詞やby~以外を用いる受動態を幅広く出題する点が大きな違いです。
このページでは主に受動態の基本と受動態の時制・助動詞を解説しています。解説文中で使う略字は、S：主語, V：動詞, O：目的語, C：補語, M：修飾語 です。

受動態にするためには、能動態が他動詞を用いた文でなければいけません。能動態の目的語が受動態の主語になります。すなわち目的語を取る文型、第3文型(SVO)・第4文型(SVOO)・第5文型(SVOC)である必要があります。
○肯定文：S＋be動詞＋過去分詞…＋by＋行為者～. (Sは～によって…される。)
● The man loves her. [S+V+O]
She is loved by the man.
○否定文：be動詞の後にnot
→ She is not loved by the man.
○疑問文：be動詞を文頭に
→ Is She loved by the man?
→ Yes, she is. No, she isn't.
動作主が一般の人や、不明・自明の(言わなくてもわかる)場合、byを省略します。by them, by us, by you がよく省略されます。
● They speak English in Australia.
→ English is spoken in Australia.
(オーストラリアでは英語が話されている。)：by them は一般の人々(オーストラリア人)なので、省略します。
● Someone stole my purse in the classroom.
→ My purse was stolen in the classroom.
(私の財布が教室で盗まれた。)：動作主(行為者)がはっきりしない場合、省略します。
○過去形：be動詞を過去形に
→ She was loved by the man.
○現在完了形：have been＋過去分詞
→ The work has been done by my friend .
(その仕事は私の友人によって完成されている。)
○進行形：be being＋過去分詞
→ Johnny is being followed by paparazzi.
(ジョニーがパパラッチに追い掛け回されている。)
○助動詞(can,must,mayなど)＋be＋過去分詞
● The students can solve the problem.
→ The problem can be solved by the students.
(その問題は学生たちによって解決できる。)
● We will forget the accident.
→ The accident will be forgot.
(その事故は忘れられてしまうでしょう。)
(1)疑問詞が修飾語の場合：疑問詞＋疑問文
● Where did you hear the news? [Where(M) +you(S) +hear(V) +news(C)]
→ Where was the news heard (by you) ?
(その知らせをどこで聞いたのですか。)
(2)疑問詞が補語の場合：疑問詞＋疑問文
● What do you call this flower in English? [What(C)+ you(S)+ call(V)+ flower(O)]
→ What is this flower called in English ?
(この花は英語で何と言いますか。)
(3)疑問詞が目的語の場合：疑問詞(S)＋V～
● What did he paint on the wall? [What(O)+ he(S)+ paint(V)]
→ What was painted by him on the wall? [What(S)+ was painted(V)]
(壁に何が彼によって描かれましたか。)
(4)疑問詞が主語の場合：By+疑問詞(M)＋疑問文～. ／ 疑問詞(M)＋疑問文＋by~?
● Who wrote this article? [Who(S)+ wrote(V)+ this article(O)]
→ By whom was this article written? [By whom(M)＋疑問文 ] (文語)
→ Who was this article written by? [Who(M)＋疑問文＋by(M) ] (口語)
